Red Cuillin
My good friend Andy (see his website) and his good lady celebrated Hogmanay with Erin and I in our house and like a good chap he brought along some fine ale to lubricate proceedings. However, as I had also planned ahead and got a couple of casks from Stewart Brewing, there was some left at the end of the night. This Red Cuillin, from the Isle of Skye Brewing Company, was one such fortuitous extra which I had the pleasure of enjoying after the madness of the new year was over!
The Cuillin are a well known range of hills on the Isle of Skye, available in both black and red forms – much like the choice of beers from the brewery! Red Cuillin is reddish in colour and has a smooth supping quality – a definite session beer.
